The Hunt 101 Imperial nib is very popular with artists and illustrators for its fine line and flexible tip, which gives wide variation in line width.
This Nib Unit also accepts nibs of a similar size and shape, including the Brause Bandzug, Brause 361 and 180 nibs, most Manga G nibs, Hiro Krems and Hiro Leonardt, Professor 543, Gillott 1068A - the list goes on.
The Hunt 101 nib unit is designed to work in the Pump Pen for Large Nibs, which you must order separately. This Nib Unit will also accommodate other dip nibs, including the Leonardt Principal, Manga G, Brause Bandzug, Brause 361 and 543, Hunt School, Hiro Krems and Hiro Leonardt, among other nibs of a similar size and shape. We call this nib unit our Standard Nib Unit.
To use this nib unit, just press it into the front of the Pump Pen. This Nib Unit will fit into both Pump Pens - the Pump Pen for Standard Nibs and the Pump Pen for Large Nibs. The Pump Pen for Large Nibs is designed for larger dip nibs, including the Hunt 101, Mitchell Roundhand as well as all Brause and Manga nibs.
The Hunt 101 Nib Unit is shipped with our Perfect Fit Ink Feed, which lets you use Hunt 101 nibs and forget about dipping or painting the nib. Our feed is matched to the nib, and delivers ink or paint directly to the nib for a clean and accurate flow. This lets you letter and draw without dipping.
Use any ink or paint - if it flows, it will work in the Pump Pen. India ink, acrylic paint, gouache and watercolor - they all work. And nothing sticks. You can flush the pen with warm tap water. If ink or paint does dry out in the pen, you can remove it easily.
Gravity flow works most of the time, but when you want a stronger flow, press the pump - you get what you press, from a drop to a gush.
The large reservoir lets you work away from your bottle of ink and not worry about running out. You can order extra reservoirs with caps to carry replacement ink or paint.
