This pen consists of the Pump Pen for Large Nibs and the Brause Bandzug Nib Unit. The Brause Bandzug nib is popular with calligraphers and letterers because you can use a wide variety of tip sizes and shapes.
This pen will accept all Nib Units. Smaller nib, such as the Gillott 303 or 404 and crowquills, might dry out more quickly in the large cap, but this usually isn't a major problem.
The Brause Nib Unit accepts nibs of a similar size and shape, including other Brause nibs, such as the 361 and 180, also the Hunt 22, 99 and 101, most Manga G nibs, Hiro Krems and Hiro Leonardt, Leonardt Principal, Professor 543, Gillott 1068A - the list goes on.
The Brause Bandzug Nib Unit is shipped with our Perfect Fit Ink Feed, which lets you use the Brause Bandzug nib and forget about dipping or painting the nib. Our feed is matched precisely to the nib, and delivers the ink or paint directly to the nib for a clean and accurate flow. This lets you letter and draw without dipping.
Use any ink or paint - if it flows, it will work in the Pump Pen. India ink, acrylic paint, gouache and watercolor - they all work. And nothing sticks. You can flush the pen with warm tap water. If ink or paint does dry out in the pen, you can remove it easily.
Gravity flow works most of the time, but when you want a stronger flow, press the pump - you get what you press, from a drop to a gush.
The large reservoir lets you work away from your bottle of ink and not worry about running out. You can order extra reservoirs with caps to carry replacement ink or paint.
Easy to clean, hard to plug up, and fun to use, the Pump Pen is ideal for anyone who draws, sketches, paints and letter using fine hand control.
