This pen consists in a Pump Pen for Standard Nibs and a Leonardt Principal Nib Unit. The Leonardt Principal nib is a new nib, very popular with calligraphers and artists. It is designed to emulate the original Principal nib, which is a collectors item today. This nib combines the flexibility of a Gillot 303 with the strength of a Hunt 101 Imperial nib. In fact, the Imperial nib is Hunt's emulation of the original Principal nib.
This Pump Pen will accept Nib Units for standard nibs, such as Gillot 303 and 404 nibs as well as crowquills.
This Nib Unit accepts nibs of a similar size and shape, including the Brause Bandzug, Brause 361 and 180 nibs, Hunt 99 and 101, Leonardt Principal, most Manga G nibs, Hiro Krems and Hiro Leonardt, Professor 543, Gillott 1068A - the list goes on.
The Pump Pen for Leonardt Principal nibs is shipped with our Perfect Fit Ink Feed, which lets you use the Leonardt nib and nibs of a similar size and shape and forget about dipping or painting the nib. Our feed is matched to the nib, and delivers ink or paint directly to the nib for a clean and accurate flow. This lets you letter and draw without dipping.
Use any ink or paint - if it flows, it will work in the Pump Pen. India ink, acrylic paint, gouache and watercolor - they all work. And nothing sticks. You can flush the pen with warm tap water. If ink or paint does dry out in the pen, you can remove it easily.
Gravity flow works most of the time, but when you want a stronger flow, press the pump - you get what you press, from a drop to a gush.
The large reservoir lets you work away from your bottle of ink and not worry about running out. You can order extra reservoirs with caps to carry replacement ink or paint.
Easy to clean, hard to plug up, and fun to use, the Pump Pen is ideal for anyone who draws, sketches, paints and letter using fine hand control.
